1/31/2017 – Food Television (w/ Lee DiGeorge)

Welcome to Five Course Trivia! Five days a week, we’ll post five questions about something from the culinary world, from soup to nuts and all dishes in between.

This week is Guest Week here at FCT, and I’m inviting friends and supporters of the site to craft some of their own questions! Today, we have questions from Lee DiGeorge, an educator in New York. Lee was also author of the Breakfast Cereal 1DS. Everything after this point was written by him. Enjoy!

1. What TV cook, also known as the “Barefoot Contessa” also worked as a budget analyst for both Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter in the office of Management and Budget?

2. Before her fame as a TV chef, what cook worked for the Office of Strategic Services during World War II?

3. Which winner of The Next Food Network Star has gone on to host two successful shows on the network, nicknamed “Triple D” and “Triple G”?

4. On what Travel Channel show did Adam Richman take on incredibly difficult eating challenges, including the four horsemen burger, topped with jalapeños, serranos, habaneros and ghost peppers?

Question 4

5. What English chef, sometimes known as the Naked Chef on BBC2, has a net worth of over 400 million dollars, more than double his British counterpart Gordon Ramsay? This English chef has been banned from every public school in California for trying to make the students eat healthier.

Thanks again to Lee for crafting today’s questions! Stay tuned for tomorrow’s Guest Week author, with some questions about fish and/or chips with Conal Huetter!
