Welcome to Five Course Trivia! Five days a week, we’ll post five questions about something from the culinary world, from soup to nuts and all dishes in between.

A new week, some new questions, and I don’t think I’ve had a fruit question in a while, so let’s answer some questions on figs!

1. Name either of the two countries that produce more than 100,000 metric tons of figs each year.

2. Name the fig variety seen here, which is was the name of a city now known as Izmir, as well as sharing its name with an Atlanta suburb.
